Amazing trip of Galapagos and mainland equador!!

“Eva helped us organize one of the best experiences that we've ever had. Our family (2 adults, 2 tweens) spent a week on the mainland and a week in the Galapagos. Angel and Gerardo were amazing as guide and driver through Mindo and into the mountains including Cotopaxi. They were knowledgeable, incredibly kind and always prioritized our safety and convenience. They thought through every detail, so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Eva customized a schedule for us that took into account all of our interests. The truly amazing level of customer service came out when the airport in Guayaquil closed for the weekend due to scheduled upgrades of the facilities. i missed the notification from the airline, so i didn't know that was happening. Eva proactively saw this, and reached out to me about this, even though i had booked my flights directly. She then corresponded with the airline for me to get our seats changed, etc. PHEW! So happy she was on it!

If you want ideas, we went to Mindo (cloud forest), Cotopaxi (mountain), Isinlivi to Chugchilan (one way hiking from town to town), Galapagos (Santa Cruz/Isabella). It was an amazing trip!”

“My wife and I had an amazing experience working with this company to plan our trip to Quito. They were fantastic! They were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. They were very patient and answered all our questions and made great recommendations for tours to fit our needs and desires. The responses to my many emails were very prompt and friendly even after long periods in which we did not respond or make contact. They offered a wide variety of tours and helped to find and tailor tours and transportation services to fit our needs. Their prices were also very reasonable and were comparable to prices we were quoted by other your operators.

They were just so helpful and even made recommendations and suggestions unrelated to to tours and services we were purchasing, like neighborhoods to stay in and good hotels.

Do to some unrelated and unfortunately circumstances, we were unable to make our trip to Quito and thus were not actually able to take the planned tours, but they were very understanding and great about us cancelling. “I contacted Eva from Enjoying Ecuador and several other travel agencies a few months before coming to Ecuador to get help in creating an itinerary that best suits my family's interests. In contrast to other travel agents, who gave me standard tourist itineraries, Eva actually listened to my requests and gave the most personalised itinerary. I asked her lots of questions and she always provided detailed and accurate answers in a timely way. In the end I asked Eva to organise our jungle exploration, as well as a couple of nights in Quito and transportation in between (a trekking tour we did with AndeanFace.com). Fantastic organization and great day trip to Cotopaxi

“Eva is one of the best trip organisers I've ever corresponded with. I whatsapped her a few weeks before my trip to ask for quotes for a shared Cotopaxi day trip, and her response was super expedient and clear. I did not plan to book a trip because logistically it wouldn't work out, and she was very nice about it, not pushy at all.

2 days before the departure date of the shared Cotopaxi tour, I whatsapped her urgently. I had gotten robbed and thus my plans had changed such that I could go for the shared tour after all. She replied immediately to say that there was availability, super easy for a solo traveller like me.

The tour was very well-organised. Even though the group is made up of travellers who booked through different agencies, you won't feel like you're wasting time picking up people. Breakfast and lunch were included, and these were not your lame meals. They were actually delicious. Our guide was excellent, always watching out for those who had issues with the hike. The views were obviously great as well.

Eva genuinely wants you to enjoy Ecuador – and her deeds prove it!

“Let me start with a challenge I had given Eva: I like photography and we (my wife and I) wanted to see as much wild life and natural beauty of Ecuador and Galapagos as we could in 15 days. We also wanted to capture the cultural aspects of the country - its wonderful people, how they live, their markets and customs. Of course, all this had to be arranged around our schedule close to Christmas! Eva worked very closely with us to define a perfect itinerary that included a few days in Ecuador, a Galapagos cruise and then again time in Ecuador. What made this wonderful was that Eva had arranged for a guide to meet us and escort us through every transition point: airport, meeting the cruise people, etc. This removed a lot of anxiety associated with travel abroad. The guides/drivers she provided were not only very knowledgeable but also understood what we were interested in and changed their preplanned routes to include things we wanted to do and see. As a result of such wonderful flexibility, I was able to capture some of the most beautiful wild life in pictures and we were able to meet and spend some time with a family living in the mountains.

Now a little story that puts Eva in her own league: My wife wanted a book “Around the Clock” by Tui de Roy that is available only at Baltra airport in Galapagos islands. Eva tried very hard to find the book at different bookstores in Quito with no success. She then sent an email to the author who happened to be in Galapagos at the time and offered to bring the book with her as she was passing through Quito airport. Eva met the author at the airport, got the book signed by the author and mailed it to us in the USA!

Bottom line: I would enthusiastically recommend Eva and her company – she listens, plans, coordinates and executes with precision and joy!”

A great Holiday

“We arrange our whole trip except for Air Tickets with Eva at Enjoying Ecuador. In the planning she was extremely helpful and replied immediately to any questions or changes. We were in Ecuador for nine days over Christmas and New Year travelling from North of the Country to the South. We stayed in the three major cities and travelled throughout with our Guide Angel who was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and helpful to ensure we all had a great experience. The whole trip was very well organized and in general went of smoothly. We had a couple of hiccups with two Hotels of which Eva was able to sought one on our return to Quito. The Haciendas we stayed in were extremely comfortable and well managed. The whole trip was a great experience and most enjoyable. Our thanks to Eva for arranging it all and equally thanks to Angel for being so patient and caring throughout the whole trip. Custom 10-day trip of the Ecuadorian Highlands for a group of 9 people with Enjoying Ecuador Travel

“We just completed an amazing tour of the Ecuador highlands with Eva and her tour company. It was a completely customized itinerary for 9 people visiting a ton of places - Otavalo, Cuicocha & Quilotoa crater lakes, Papallacta thermal springs, Cotopaxi & Chimborazo volcanoes, Devil's Nose Train ride, Baños waterfalls... There were enough complexities with such a large group with some people in the group extending their vacation before & after to other parts of Ecuador etc. Right from the planning stage, I was impressed with Eva's prompt & thorough responses and attention to detail. The execution of the trip by Eva and her team turned out to be just as superlative as the planning was. Our guide Angel and professional driver, Nelson were as good as Eva herself. Our group of friends have been traveling together extensively over the last 5 years and while we have had good tour operators and guides in most places, I do believe that Eva as a tour operator and Angel, our guide that Eva provided for the trip were the very best we have ever had. A Great Trip to the Galapagos Islands through a Great Tour Agency

“The Galapagos Islands is everything a bucket list destination should be - exotic and fun. And we were delighted with how Enjoying Ecuador Tours facilitated this dream trip for us.

How do you pick a tour to the Galapagos? Like everyone else we read the reviews, sent out emails and then waited to see how tour agencies responded. Then it is a leap of faith.

We were impressed with Eva of Enjoying Ecuador Tours from her first response to our query in January of 2018 and subsequent multiple questions over 9 months, until our cruise in the beginning of August. We chose the eight day cruise on the Golondrina, which sleeps 16 people, on bunk-beds, in eight private cabins with ensuite bathrooms. Early on a deposit, which required a wire transfer, went smoothly and was confirmed immediately by Eva when received. Final payment was due closer to our cruise departure date and was confirmed promptly. I mention the wire transfers only because we have had other experiences where they have not been easy. Eva did an outstanding job explaining the Galapagos process and that our final package with hard copy flight and cruise itinerary info would be waiting for us at our hotel's reception desk. She had emailed pdfs of the same information earlier.

Eva also arranged a private transfer from the Quito airport to our hotel in Old Town. It was after midnight when we landed and it was so nice to see our driver waiting, with our names on a sign, to greet us and deliver us directly to our inn.

We also used Enjoying Ecuador Tours to arrange a private tour of the Mindo Cloud Forest, to observe an amazing variety of hummingbirds, toucans and multiple other species of birds. If you love birdwatching, this is a great way to spend the day and the naturalist assigned to us was so enthusiastic. We spotted 40 different species of birds! Eva modified this trip for us so that at the end of the day the driver would drop us at our airport hotel, to facilitate an early flight to the Galapagos the next morning.

Upon arrival at the airport, by the Galapagos Entry station, a representative of the Golondrina yacht was waiting to show us how to proceed, making the process very easy. Then it was anchors aweigh!

Arriving in the Galapagos, the tour guide for the Golondrina gathered all the passengers and luggage for the boat, took us to the bus for the short trip to the port and made sure we were all ready for transfer by panga to the ship. The process ran very smoothly, like a Swiss watch. Everyone aboard, cabins assigned, we steamed away. Our group consisted of a delightful mix of folks from Italy, Germany, Belgium and the U.K., all of us friends by the end of the trip, and a talented and dedicated crew of seven.

The exploration of the islands began that afternoon, and every day thereafter was filled with discovery, both on the land and in the water. There was never a dull or boring moment for eight days. The Golondrina has a lot of character and the crew was wonderful, as were the amazing meals that emerged from the galley.

Several days into our cruise we were all expectantly upgraded to the larger and newer cruiser Fragata, as the Golondrina was called in for a scheduled maintance. The cabins on the Fragata are sligthtly larger with ensuite bath, and the beds are side by side rather than stacked. The ship's common areas are also larger.

The guides and crew of the Golondrina and Fragata were very nice and professional. And again the meals served aboard both ships were delicous.

Our Galapagos experience was everything we expected it to be, and more. Thank you, Eva and Enjoying Ecuador Tours!”

Wonderful and Very Professional Tour Agency

“We were looking for an agency which will organize full day tours from Puerto Ayora to two Galapagos uninhabited islands. We contacted Eva from "Enjoying Ecuador Travel" and she responded very quickly. We changed our minds several times and to each email Eva responded with a lot of care with one goal only: making sure we are satisfied with the tours organization. Eventually, she managed to arrange us the two tours we wanted: a day tour to North Seymour Island and a day tour to Santa Fe Island. We embarked on our Ecuador tour excursion knowing our Galapagos trip, which is probably the hardest to plan and organize in Ecuador, is all set for us. Eva met us in Quito ten days before our departure to the Galapagos, and provided us with a detailed itinerary of our tours and also of other activities possible to be done on Santa Cruz Island by ourselves. “I worked with Eva at Enjoying Ecuador to plan my trip to Galapagos. She is an excellent travel agent- always prompt to answer all my inquiries. She was amazingly helpful when my flight from the US to the Galapagos was canceled at the last minute due to severe weather conditions. The last minute change in flight plans caused me to arrive a day after the start of the tour. I contacted Eva and she arranged to have a guide meet me at San Cristobal airport who showed me around the island, and then I was able to join the tour later in the day. Thank you Eva.”

“Organizing through Eva she set us (3 couples) up with a private tour for 3 days! We had Francisco as our guide and Angel was our driver for all 3 days. They were a terrific combination to take us around beautiful Ecuador! We went on 3 individual day tours doing something different each day.

Day one was a Full Day Otavalo which included a visit to master weaver Miguel Andrango, the Peguche water fall, and the villages of Otavalo and Cotacchi for shopping.

Day Two we went to the Mindo Cloud Forest we went zip lining, visited Mindo Chocolate factory and had a tasty lunch there, visited a hummingbird preserve and saw numerous species of hummingbirds and a visit to a butterfly farm. They even granted our request and stopped by the Equator Monument that we had not sen earlier on our travels.

Day Three was spent in Quito on a gastronomic tour. We stopped at a large fresh food market and sampled some fruit and prepared foods. Next stop was a bakery that was known for their desert quesadillas which some of group got to help to prepare and then best of all we got to eat some! Then by request we stopped at the Basilica for a quick visit and noted that the gargoyles were mostly animals found in the Galapagos. We went to Altamira a fine restaurant, to prepare our own lunch supervised by chef Luis Vargas Torres and after lunch we visited Colaciones Cruz Verde hosted by Luis Banda Smith, a candy maker.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tours and Ecuador. The driver Raol and our guide Wilson were also top-notch. They included special requests that were not on our itinerary ( including my 13 year old's requests for music) and let us know about the Presidential changing of the guards that we could see because we were touring the old town of Quito on Monday. They were willing to change the order of our day so that we could experience this, even though it meant more traffic and challenges for them. We have so many special memories from our trip...and our best ones were from the time we spent with Raol and Wilson.
